Jamye is often described as nurturing, intentional, down to earth and steady. You can expect therapy with her to be warm, direct and holistically trauma informed. She is not afraid to gently and compassionately challenge you to achieve your goals.
Jamye is passionate about de-stigmatizing addiction and mental health. To do so, she believes we must start with reducing shame and loneliness in individuals currently struggling with or in recovery from an addiction/mental health challenge. Jamye also works with couples in which one or both partners is in recovery.
Jamye works with individuals and families to address anxiety, depression, grief, communication difficulties, emotional dysregulation and other struggles individuals experience throughout their lifetime.
Jamye received her masters (M.S.Ed) from Indiana University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor Associate (LCACA).
Jamye has received practice and training in ASSIST (suicide prevention), Motivational Interviewing, Harm-Reduction, Relationship Coaching and intends to dive deeper into trainings related to the mind-body connection.
Jamye assists her local emergency department with assessing and creating safety plans for those struggling with thoughts to harm themselves or experiencing psychosis.
In her free time, Jamye enjoys creating delicious sourdough breads, baking desserts with her son, and spending time outdoors with her loved ones and two pups Minnie and Perle.
